Reconstruction of a farm in Hostim
This reconstruction of a large stone farm on the village square in Hostim is designed for the purpose of recreational living for two families. The design preserves the current state with the addition of new and current elements on the facade, roof and interior.
New facade windows in steel frames are attached to the stone facade, industrial and casement windows are copies of the original windows. There are new vertical and narrow openings on the street facade, which illuminate the living spaces. The skylights are designed as narrow gaps and, together with small façade openings, sufficiently illuminate the attic spaces that serve as bedrooms.
The interiors retain their production character, brick vaults or walls are acknowledged or partially acknowledged. The original large vaulted spaces are preserved, complete with a fireplace. The outbuilding of the farm was partially rebuilt and supplemented and is used as a communication and technical core of the rear part of the building.
